November is National Hospice and Palliative Care Month. CompassionCare Hospice and hospices across the United States are reaching out to raise awareness about the highest quality care for all people coping with life-limiting illness.

Hospice is not a place. Hospice and palliative care programs can be provided to you, wherever you call home. Hospice is a supportive approach to end of life care by providing pain management, symptom control, psychosocial support, and spiritual and emotional care to patients and their families when dealing with a life-limiting illness. Not only do hospice patients experience a better quality of life, but they can enjoy their time with family and loved ones. The choice to use hospice services doesn’t just affect the patient, but it also affects the loved ones of that patient as well. The CompassionCare Hospice team is here to meet all of your needs-physically, emotionally and spiritually.

Through specialized quality care, we see many patients and their families experience more meaningful moments together. If your health continues to worsen despite aggressive treatment, or if you’ve simply decided that you are done with hospital visits and treatments, you may want to consider hospice. Choosing hospice does not mean giving up hope. Hospice is about living.
