Launched nationwide in 03′, My HealtheVet helps to promote good health habits and have a better understanding of your health status, how to monitor and improve your health, and to have better communication overall with the VA. The vet website is free and provides online information that is easy to access/use and is private and secure. My HealtheVet provides tools that allow veterans to take control of their health and well-being. They can become more active in making decisions about their care with their physicians themselves.
Individuals can enter important personal information and build their own health record as well as keep track of any important changes. They also have access to identification cards, online prescriptions, and secure online communication directly to the VA healthcare team members. The vet website offers 3 types of accounts: basic, advanced and premium (depending on the type of information you want access to).
